At the Ghana National Tailors and Dressmakers Association (GNTDA), we uphold the legacy of craftsmanship, precision, and style. Our mission is to provide high-quality, custom-fitted garments that not only reflect individual expression but also embody the rich cultural heritage of Ghana and Africa at large.
Our Structure and Core Activities
The GNTDA spans across the nation with over 550 zonal branches in all districts of Ghana. Our membership strength of over 45,000 Master Craft Persons continuously train and mentor 65,000 youth (Learners) in practical sewing skills.
At any given time, 10,000 learners take part in the intermediate examinations organized by GNTDA, preparing them for careers in the fashion and garment industry.

We maintain a successful working relationship with GTP, whose fabric serves as a major input for our members. Our association is also affiliated with renowned organizations such as:

Mission And Vision
To continue to be the leader of fashion Designing in Ghana and backbone the national fashion identity crusade
We strive to cloth Ghana and even beyond, primarily making use of our local fabrics for national.
Who We Are
The Mother of all Fashion Designing Associations in Ghana was established on the 5th day of October 1979 and registered as a Trade Association in the year 2014 under the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), which was also established by the Acts of Parliament, Act 718 of 2006 and Legislative Instrument, LI 2195 of 2012 which empowers us to be a unique body to legally ply the sewing trade to clothe the Ghanaian citizenry and beyond, and disseminate knowledge for the development of human resource for nation building.
It was also incorporated under the Registrar General in the year 2014 .
GNTDA has a working Constitution that makes provision for proper management structure, accountability, seperation of powers and administrative system and clear election procedures to ensure smooth and transparent transfer of power at regular intervals.
GNTDA has an established educational system (Intermediate Examination) which is organized twice every year (April and September) that prepares her learners for the national TVET qualifications.
